TRR: Finn O'Mahony

Matches: Because of his fascination with fire, he always keeps matches with him to keep himself entertained.
Money Clip: He loves to spend, so he does. If he wants to buy something, he will without hesitation.
Books and Cards: He’ll always have a book on him for those moments he actually wants to sit and relax.
Cigarettes: It’s a habit that he picked up while hanging around certain people, one he can’t seem to drop. Though he won’t go anywhere near cigars.

Fire: If it’s setting something on fire and throwing it or if it’s just setting you on fire, that’s what Finn uses as an offensive. He loves to watch things burn and if you scream, that just makes everything ten times better.

One of the first things that people seem to notice about Finn is his constant mood swings. One minute he can be flirty and interested and the next he could be cold and uncaring. Sadly, these swings occur so often mainly because most of the time his behavior doesn’t reflect his age, for he acts much younger and it’s a chore for him to keep a serious demeanor. Instead, he figures there’s no point in trying and just throws all responsibility to others.
Finn has a habit of giving and rarely taking. If someone asks him to buy something, there a high chance that he wouldn’t refuse. Some may say he’s charitable and unselfish, but in reality he just likes to spend the money of his parents out of spite. He won’t allow himself to be taken advantage of, though, and will refuse certain people for any reason. Because of his childish nature, the reason could be something as simple as “I don’t like you”.
One thing that he particularly finds joy in is getting into people’s business. He likes to get the deepest darkest information out of people, even if he does it in an obnoxiously obvious way. His ‘methods’ usually involve a lot of physical contact as well, meaning he completely disregard personal space and isn’t afraid to get close and intimate. The moment he learns these secrets, he keeps them to himself with no malicious intent such as blackmail.

Finn O’Mahony was born to a wealthy family as the first child and a mistake in his parents’ eyes. It was no secret to him since they made it more than obvious that they wished he was never born. Their original mindset was to have a child in order to give the press something interesting to write about the family, always in search of being the center of attention. In the end though, they didn’t tell anyone of their son even though it showed as an opportunity to be featured in the media. An undesired child, Finn was raised by a live-in nanny who brought him up. He never went to school and wasn’t permitted to leave the house, not even to go out in the backyard and play. No one other than his parents and the staff knew about his existence. Being an only child and having no friends and uncaring parents, Finn had no way to really develop any real social skills and being enclosed in one environment for so long drove him just slightly insane. He didn’t know anything other than the cold and distant attitudes his parents showed him, but he did know what brought a reaction out of them. He lived to at least make them angry if he couldn’t get anything else.

By the time Finn was 12 he’d driven his mother to abuse with his behavior. She didn’t like the attitude he’d developed and beat him mercilessly, sometimes seemingly with no reason at all. She never seemed to care about the bruises and slashes she left on her own child’s body, or the burn marks from her cigarettes. Even when she was pregnant again, she would go to his room late at night and wake him up, simply to beat him. Every time she did, she would scream that something was his fault or say meaningless things to the point where he wondered just how mentally stable she was. In one of her rants, he learned the only reason his parents told no one of his existence was because his mother had wanted a daughter, not a son. Anything but a precious baby girl was unacceptable to her and Finn’s existence seemed to drive her further into madness. Even through all of this, his father was hardly around. It seemed that he only followed his wife’s wishes and could care less about his child’s well-being.

As he grew older and more rebellious, Finn took to sneaking out. He drank and smoked to his hearts almost content, getting involved in things that he had no business doing. One anger outlet he really enjoyed was setting things on fire. It was easy to watch things burn and imagine that it was his anger given physical form. Over time watching mother show an almost obsessive love to his baby sister, love that he never received, his anger and resentment built and he realized he needed more. He’d found himself getting involved with undesirable crowds and illegal activities, but it was better than living in a household where he wasn’t wanted nor needed. His mother bought him off, promising him a constant flow of money if he left and didn’t mention their involvement. The thought of leaving his parents and not even having to worry about funds or living on his own had him disappearing without a second glance back.
