History
’As a child, Braeden was hot-headed and defiant. His parents allowed him to run rampant and get into fight after fight in order to improve and hone his strength and expertise in the art of fighting. They wanted him to be able to protect himself and others in his future, a future that he couldn’t possibly imagine. When he was only 156 moons old(12 years), they started to change the way they raised him. His parents started building his endurance by chaining him up and forcing him to take various forms of pain and torture. They kept him locked in rooms in which he wasn’t allowed to sleep or eat for long periods of time, more often than not making him stand for the entirety of the time. By the age of 312(24 years) they announced that he was ready.
‘What he was ready for was the defense of a very high family. His parents gave him up to this family in order to be the guardian of their young daughter. He was to keep her safe from those that wanted to harm her and also to be her playmate. He began his care for the girl when she was only 2 years old. As she grew older, his aging slowed dramatically until it stopped completely (at 28). Although he acted indifferently towards the girl, she eventually developed a crush on him as most young girls do. She forced him to play with her constantly and take her out to buy nice things. Throughout this stage, he never felt any ill feelings towards her. As the little girl grew into a young woman, she professed her love to him and ordered that they’d be married. Of course, he could not refuse.
‘A night before the wedding, Braeden stole the strongest drinks he could find from the house and hid away with them. He drank a lot, trying to drown away the stress of being forced into a marriage with someone he didn’t love. Although he cared deeply for her, he did not love her in that way. It was when he was completely intoxicated that he heard the screams. He’d only left his post of protecting the woman for a short time, but in that time she had been murdered brutally. The master of the household did not wish to accept this and ordered him executed. Taking the woman’s scarf and family ring off of her body, he ran from the home, seeking a safe haven away from that family. He hid away for several years, long enough for them to die off before searching for other families and establishments he could protect and try again.
